Overview
Something very exciting is happening in New Mexico. You can feel it every time you go to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, or anywhere near a university for that matter.
New Mexico is a global powerhouse when it comes to technological development. We have been for years. We’ve got the smartest scientific and engineering minds in the world at our national research labs, tier-1 research universities, and Air Force and military research facilities spending more than $4.8 billion in research and development each year. But no one is really taking advantage of that talent.
Well, it’s time we did something about that.
Verge is a highly motivated venture capital fund that invests in seed-stage, high-growth ventures right here in New Mexico. This partnership focuses on opportunities at the earliest stages of their development, even if the business plan hasn’t been fully built out. Sure, there’s a certain amount of ambiguity at this stage, but there’s also the potential for a very high return. And the Principals at Verge know a little something about that.
The opportunities in New Mexico are just below the surface and Verge knows exactly where to find them. The Principals of this partnership have a combined 43 years of experience investing in and working with entrepreneurial companies in New Mexico. Our history is working in the labs, the universities and successful venture capital firms. We live here, we work here and we know how to get things done here.
Because our background is deeply rooted in this state, we bring with us a simple honesty about the challenges here and what we can accomplish. This straightforward attitude will keep us focused on finding and creating just the right deals that will transition into nationally and internationally competitive companies.
